Dr. Paul Zarda Reviewed Engineering Processes At Lockheed Missile And Fire Control Facility

Dr. Paul Zarda of Sanford, Florida is a well known professional with numerous accomplishments under his belt. He is currently serving as the Manager at Engineering Methods Group at Lockheed Martin and Fire Control. His role involves providing support to the engineering community in the areas of Optical Design, Mechanical Design & Analysis, and System’s Engineering.

He has reviewed various engineering processes at Lockheed Martin in the area of preliminary and conceptual design of Missile and Fire Control Systems. This technique has lead to a developed methodology and architecture to capture that knowledge. The Engineering Methods Group offers Interactive Missile Design (IMD) and the Interactive Gimbal Design (IGD) systems respectively.

Dr. Paul Zarda is also a member of the technical staff assigned to Research in Technical Operations. He is also Program Manager for the Web based Design Environment contract with WFAPB (Wright Patterson Air Force Base), and Program Manager of SHVD (Supersonic Hypersonic Vehicle Design Contract) which is associated with WFAPB.

In 1974, he received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University in the area of Bio-mechanics and Bio-engineering. From 1974 to 1976, he served as an Assistant Professor in Engineering Science at Lafayette College in Easton,Pa, and then as a Research Analyst at David Taylor Naval Research and Development from 1976 to 1978.

Besides his professional commitments, Dr. Paul Zarda in Orlando also manages time to spend with family members, design and analysis of tennis racquets, wood working in his home shop, and his association with 30,000 ‘alligator friends’ at Lake Jesup. Owing to his skill set and extensive knowledge, he has established himself as one of the renowned personalities in Florida.
